Where to begin? Let's start with yesterday. Norway's first total solar eclipse since 1954. Of course it was cloudy here, and we weren't far enough north to see the total eclipse anyways. But, Hans did manage to get a few good shots of it. Looky...
Cool, yes?
You know what else is cool? Building a planet. August is world building month over at tales of a fantasy scribbler, so I've decided to join in. I have a very, very vague idea of the novel I'm going to write for NanoWriMo this year, and I figure it'd be cool to actually build a world for once, instead of winging it.
I created a wordpress blog on which to do it. The link to it is over in my blogroll somewhere. Already it's proven useful and fun, so I'm happy.
Lastly and most certainly leastly, I'm headed for Denmark on August 6th and I won't be back until August 16th at the earliest. Honestly, I can think of at least 587 things I'd rather be doing (having my fingernails pried off with tongs is one of them) but Hans is dead-set on it. So whatever. I'm going home in September, so I only have to endure this one more time. I'll survive.
Thus, the above poste doth ende.

That is a very cool shot.
That's sad that you're leaving on the 6th...I'll have to wait a long time to talk to my Stephie...
You've already waited a long time to talk to me, seeing as how we never seem to manage a meeting. :P
Travis, the BF says thanks. [insert long, drawn out speech about how difficult the shot was to get and how without a certain model of camera it can't be done and lighting and filters and timing and...]
And I've noticed that my blog has not made your blogrole yet...I'm slightly saddened :(
Hey, it's not like I edit the thing on a regular basis, sheesh! :P
There, ya happy now?!
